PTFE Tubing All Gauges and Wall Thicknesses
Zeus PTFE tubing is a fluoropolymer component with applications in a variety of demanding environments. This strong, translucent, lightweight and flexible tubing maintains a high dielectric strength over a wide range of frequencies. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), also known as Teflon®, is chemically inert, has low extractables and is chemically resistant to acids, bases and all common solvents. It also has the lowest coefficient of friction of all flouropolymers making it ideal for applications needing lubricious material. In addition to its lubricity, this tubing's biocompatibility, tight tolerances and resistance to a wide range of temperatures and chemicals allow for applications in a variety of industries. PTFE is resistant in the temperature range of 500°F (260°C) to -454°F (-270°C). The melting point is between 635-650°F, the tensile strength is between 2,500-4,000 psi and the specific gravity is between 2.13-2.24. Zeus PTFE tubing provides solutions for medical, aerospace, electrical and fluid transfer applications as well as serves functions in pharmaceuticals, fiber optics and other industries.
