304 Extra Thin Wall Stainless Steel Hypodermic Tubing for Medical Devices
304 Stainless steel (SS) extra-thin wall hypodermic tubing (HTX) is a corrosion-resistant material welded and drawn to tight tolerances. Component Supply stocks miniature hypotubes in standard 30″ and 60″ lengths with no minimum order. Quantity breaks are available for the 60″ lengths in quantities of 10, 25, 50 and 100. Stainless steel is a family of iron-chromium alloys with effective corrosion resistance particularly known for their “non-rusting” attributes. Component Supply stocks hypodermic tubing in stainless steel 304, which possesses a minimum of 18% chromium and 8% nickel with a maximum of 0.08% carbon. It is in the chromium-nickel austenitic alloy family, and with its low carbon, it is preferable over 302 for applications requiring welding.

In various medical applications, hypodermic tubing is used to manufacture various cannula types including sharps, blunt, non-coring, and deflective needles.
