PTFE offers high dielectric strength, a very low coefficient of friction, and chemical resistance to many acids, bases, and solvents. The thinner wall profile improves flexibility and reduces weight, and the material has a rated service temperature range of -454°F to 500°F (-270°C to 260°C).
PTFE is generally compatible with common sterilization methods such as EtO and autoclaving, and suitable for applications in medical devices, lab instrumentation, and aerospace applications where space and routing efficiency matter.
