FEP Heat Shrink Tubing 1.3:1 Shrink Ratio for Medical and Industrial Applications
Component Supply offers FEP heat shrink tubing with a 1.3:1 shrink ratio, designed to provide a tight, protective, and anti-corrosion covering for components exposed to demanding environments. This thin-wall heat shrink tubing is ideal for medical device manufacturing, electronics insulation, and precision assemblies requiring reliable performance and durability.
FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) offers excellent chemical resistance and dielectric strength. It is resistant to most chemicals, with exceptions including molten alkali metals and fluorine gas.
Supplied in an expanded state and standard 4-foot lengths, FEP heat shrink tubing can be autoclaved and gamma sterilized, making it a preferred choice for medical and laboratory applications requiring sterility and consistency.
Recovery Temperature:
400°F (204°C)
FEP’s material qualities make it suitable for a diverse range of applications including use in environmental monitoring equipment, medical devices, such as catheter fusing, and electronics. It is an ideal material for applications needing insulation because of its dielectric strength. If a particular application suiting your purposes is not described on this or any other related product pages, please contact a Component Supply representative who can answer your questions and guide you toward an appropriate product for your application.
Component Supply offers FEP heat shrink tubing with a 1.3:1 ratio. Heat shrink tubing comes in its expanded state, but a brief application of heat enables the tubing to mold itself around a component to create a snug, seamless covering. Standard 4-foot lengths are available; however, our proprietary processes and equipment give us the expertise to produce customer-specific lengths precisely fitting the items needing coverage and making them as effective as possible in their application. Component Supply provides straight cuts, which maintain the integrity of the tubing dimensions and hold tight tolerances. Minimum quantities may apply depending on current stock. For more custom fabrication information, please contact a Component Supply representative who can inform you of the best options for your specific application.
ISO 13485 certified. RoHS, REACH, and Prop 65 compliance statements are available upon request at the time of order.
