PTFE Fractional

Zeus PTFE fractional tubing, a fluoropolymer component, is an exceptional choice for researchers and designers working on applications in demanding environments. It is a strong, translucent, lightweight and flexible tubing with high dielectric strength over a wide range of frequencies. PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), which is commonly referred to as Teflon®, has the lowest coefficient of friction of all polymers making it ideal for applications needing lubricious material. In addition to its lubricity, this tubing’s biocompatibility, precision tolerances and resistance to a broad range of temperatures and chemicals allow for applications in a variety of industries. PTFE is chemically inert, has low extractables and is chemically resistant to acids, bases and all common solvents. This tubing withstands temperatures ranging from 500°F (260°C) to -454°F (-270°C). The melting point is between 635-650°F, the tensile strength is between 2,500-4,000 psi and the specific gravity is between 2.13-2.24. Please refer to the chart below for other size specifications for this PTFE extruded tubing. This tubing can be EtO sterilized and autoclaved.
